Darrell Smith has been a performing artist and songwriter since 2004. In that time, his music has taken him thousands of miles and allowed him to work with some incredibly talented musicians and artists. He has recorded five full-length CDs with over 45 original songs. Darrell's newest project, Strangers, Orphans, & Widows, features an incredible roster of talented musicians including Dove Award® winning and Grammy® nominated guitarist Barry Blair of Audio Adrenaline.
Powerful choruses such as Shema, Hosanna, and The Feast of The King highlight the songs of worship within Strangers, Orphans & Widows. Darrell received the 2007 Great American Song Honor Award for his song “All I Have” from the project Pocket of Light and following the release of Ordinary Christmas in 2008 was selected as the featured artist of the nationally televised 2008 Ford Holiday River Parade. He has also been a regular performer at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo since 2008.
Darrell has performed for and led worship for hundreds of thousands of people across Texas, Mexico and even a few places in Central and South America. All of Darrell's music is distributed by Catapult Distribution and is available through a number of retailers including iTunes, Amazon, NoiseTrade, and Rhapsody.
Darrell lives in San Antonio with his wife Stacy and their three children Nathanael, Samuel and Abigail. In addition to writing, leading worship, and performing, Darrell also serves as the Worship Pastor for New Heights Community Church and as a Director of Chapter Three Ministries.
