| Influences |
I listen to all kinds of music. Sometimes my inspiration comes from pianists, such as Lee Luvisi, John Browning, Andras Schiff, and Sviataslav Richter. Other times from hearing singers like Leontyine Price, or in a jazz or pop vein, Norah Jones, Karin Allyson or Billie Holiday, or a violinist like Sarah Chang, or a cellist like Pablo Casals. Any artist I've heard who shapes a phrase in a compelling way becomes an influence on my own playing. |
