The Backbeat is a four-piece original rock band which formed in 2006. They have played much of the Jersey scene, including The Triumph Brewing Company, The Stone Pony, The Bowery Poetry Club, and numerous others. Two members of the band held a couple steady gigs at the Jersey shore last summer.
